Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of being a stay-at-home mom with a thriving vegetable garden, fully-stocked pantry with home-canned goods, beautiful flowers surrounding a farmhouse, and the smell of freshly-baked bread in a house full of children's laughter. But life isn't always that aesthetic, and the garden sometimes has more weeds than actual vegetable plants. And don't get me started on the flowers that were dug up by the squirrels and eaten by the bunnies! But that doesn't mean you have to give up your dreams.

I wanted to create a community and space where people can come together and help each other in their daily, not-always-aesthetic lives. Social media oftentimes does more harm than good, and I have found myself many times wishing I had this person's farmhouse and that person's immaculate kitchen. But that isn't the reality right now (and the immaculate kitchen... probably will never be a reality!). And that's OK!

I found that appreciation for the things I have brings more joy than a perfectly curated house ever could. It is freeing, looking at what you can do instead of what you wish you could do. And don't get me wrong, desire to do better is a great thing! But jealousy is a thief and will tarnish your joy.
